Tara air-crash victims’ bodies airlifted to Capital

KATHMANDU, DEC 16 -

The bodies of all 22 people—19 Bhutanese passengers and three crewmembers—killed in the Tara Air airplane crash have been airlifted to the Capital on Thursday.

It has been learnt that the bodies—15 in whole and rest fragmented—were airlifted from the crash site to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today.

The remains of the Twin Otter aircraft, which went missing on Wednesday, were recovered at Sri Chaur VDC of Okhaldhunga district on Thursday morning.

The aircraft that took off from the Lamidada Airport in Khotang met with the accident after it collided at the Palunge Hill in the district killing all people aboard.
